About Me

Our first hike in the PNW :)

Chain Lakes Loop in Mount Baker Wilderness

Hi! My name is Sophia. I'm a mental health therapist and an outdoor enthusiast. Growing up in the concrete jungle of Chicago, Lake Michigan was my oasis- a place to find peace in the chaos. At 19, during my first camping trip with my now-husband Lucas, I realized that being connected to the earth was a necessity, not just an escape.

In 2020, Lucas showed me a picture of Bend, Oregon, and I was in awe of a majestic forest I had never seen with my own eyes. For our two-year anniversary, we traveled around the PNW and swore we would live there one day. In 2023, just two months before I graduated with my Master's degree, Lucas asked if it was time to take the leap. We spent the next two years falling in love with the trails, slopes, and mountains of Washington.

Now we've taken our love for the outdoors to the next level by living full-time in our RV. Nature has encouraged us to follow what brings us joy and get outside of our comfort zone. This journey is full of lessons, and we are enjoying every second of it.
